Wanderers of Heather — The Shore Where Blood Holds No Power (Kael’s Song)
Album: Heather Wanderers: The Song of Neris (archival audio recording, 1983)
Track No. 6 — “The Shore Where Blood Holds No Power (Kael’s Song)”
After being betrayed by his own brother, Kael is mortally wounded and thrown overboard. The sea that should have become his grave carries him instead to a shore near the Garden by the Sea.
Neris saves a stranger, unaware that he is the heir to the throne of another kingdom. Kael conceals his name and origins, wishing to remain nothing more than a wanderer. On this shore, for the first time, blood, titles, and inheritance lose their meaning. Here, a feeling is born, free from the laws by which kingdoms are ruled.
But the world beyond the garden will not allow this hope to last forever. Even where blood holds no power, fate still remembers its name.
