605 Mikrorayon — Near the Fifth Entrance | Radius TV, 1993
This acoustic recording arrived in the archive without any notes apart from the date and the song title. Judging by its sound, it was recorded after the main studio session—when the equipment was left running and the musicians decided to play one more take without any preparation.
Unlike the band's usual dense sound, this version is remarkably intimate. A quiet room, the warm wooden resonance of acoustic guitars, and voices that seem directed not at the listener, but at each other.
"Near the Fifth Entrance" is a song about a courtyard that remains unchanged even as the people who once filled it gradually disappear from its story. Some moved away, some grew up, some simply stopped coming back. Yet the moment you find yourself standing by that familiar entrance again, it feels as if nothing has changed at all.
The original magnetic tape preserved slight level fluctuations, faint tape hiss, and the natural acoustics of the room. During restoration, these characteristics were intentionally left untouched as part of the authenticity of the original recording.
