Their gods have ensured that nobody can permanently possess luxury, while nobody is permanently condemned to misery. Everyone experiences the best—and the worst—their world has to offer.\n\nUntil visitors from Earth arrive.\n\nThe humans discover that the phenomenon can be manipulated.\n\nThey teach one family how to hack the system.\n\nSuddenly, the family's home never changes. Their rooms remain beautiful, luxurious and perfect.\n\nBut their discovery has a devastating consequence.\n\nAs the family's rooms remain perfect, everyone else's rooms become progressively worse.
