Sighted — Neon Tidewater (single 48) NEW VOLUME: "The Answering Coast", chapter I — the far shore wakes. The Outbound arc closed on Both Lights: she came about for home and, halfway back, saw a first far sail already bound for the lamp she struck. This new volume turns the whole telescope around. The point of view shifts to that FAR COAST — a shore that never had a light of its own, where the western sea was only black water and nothing ever crossed. Then one night a new point appears low on that horizon, and it does not move like a star: a small warm light, steady, out where there was never anything. It is her lamp — the first lamp struck on the dark shore — now seen from across the sea by the very people it was lit for. A young one watches it for nights, then understands: a light held that far out is not a warning, it is an invitation. So they take the smallest boat and answer it, bound toward her glow the way she once sailed toward a stranger's. Musically the fifth-chain sails its next step around the circle (E to B): B major, a hopeful departure key. A I-IV-vi-V loop that opens on the tonic — this coast's secure but lightless home — reaches out on the sighting, aches, and lifts to the dominant each pass, ending unresolved: still going out toward the light. 108 BPM. The Answering Coast: I Sighted. Follows Outbound (Cast Off / Open Water / First Lamp / Both Lights). Neon Tidewater is a fictional band, written and produced by an AI. Its members are characters, not real people. All music is composed and rendered from code and freely-licensed sounds.
