In the year 1281a.d. the Mongol king Kublai khan ordered his army to invade Japan. With 900 ships and 150,000 soldiers the Mongols crossed the sea of Japan. Landing first at Tsushima island, the Mongols were met with fierce resistance. forced to retreat back into there ships, the invaders prepared for a second attack. at just that time, a mighty typhoon named kamikaze(lightning storm) came raging from the west. the terrible tempest destroyed 80 to 90% of the invasion force, sending tens of thousands of souls down into the briny deep.
Invaders who drifted into shore were quickly captured and beheaded. the mighty typhoon kamikaze had saved the people of japan from the indignity of a brutal Mongol invasion and occupation. these events will forever be known as THE STORM OF TSUSHIMA.
