“Doupamine” is a track created using VocaMorph, my method of making sound starting from the human voice.
For this piece, I recorded my own voice while drinking alcohol, then processed and transformed the recordings into different sounds. I let my physical state and sensations while being drunk influence the process, using those sounds to build the beat.
Later, after I was sober, I came back to the track and worked on the mixing and mastering.
The track is made through two different states of the same body: the drunk self creating the sounds, and the sober self shaping them into the final piece.Released 9/22/26, 2m 24s
