"To build bridges, to intertwine and reconcile traditional Spanish guitar repertoire, that sound world where the classical, flamenco and folklore coexist. Historically, for 19th century guitarists, there wasn’t a barrier between different styles and musical forms. In a recital, for example, you could enjoy arrangements of melodies by Mozart alongside Andalusian popular music. Since then, these languages have refused to meet and in doing so have ignored the technical and expressive resources that each can offer. They have limited themselves within themselves. How can I deny the richness of sound and timbre that all these concepts bring to me.
