Cover of "Sweet Caroline," written by Neil Diamond and first released on 28 May 1969 from his album, "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show," produced by Tommy Cogbill, Neil Diamond and Tom Catalano. It is possibly related to JFK's daughter, Caroline, who was 12-years-old at the time, although over the years Diamond has given different interpretations for the title. The song reached #4 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It was certified Gold by RIAA on 18 August 1969 for sales of a million singles. It was Diamond's first listing out of a total of 58 on the US Easy Listening chart, peaking at #3. It peaked at #8 on the UK Singles chart. In July, 2021 it re-entered the UK Singles chart, some 50 years after its first UK release, following it being used by England supporters during Euro 2020. The song originally did very well around the world. It was certified Gold in Denmark and Germany; 5 x Platinum in New Zealand, 3 x Platinum in the UK and Platinum in Spain and the US. It is now very popular at sporting events, especially in the US and the UK. My cover was recorded on 14 September 2026.
