The Mayor is about becoming a leader without ever setting out to be one.
When flood and loss tore through her town, no crown came to help. Someone had to organize the rebuilding, speak for those who remained and keep the community moving — so she stood up. No seal gave her authority. The work did. And because she proved good at it, the role stayed with her.
Years later, the king’s men return not to help, but to search, seize and demand from the town that rebuilt itself without them.
For her, resistance is not a new calling. It is the same decision she made after the flood: when those above fail the people in front of her, she steps forward.
