First Light begins at the threshold.
At the first daylight beyond the shelter, the first explorers move out across black stone beneath a violet sky. Scratched visors, thin filters and borrowed machines are all that separate them from a world never shaped for human breath.
There is no second Earth waiting beyond the gate. Only dust, heat, distance — and the knowledge that there is no road back.
But this is more than survival. The people stepping into that light carry the memory, knowledge and unfinished work of those who came before them. What lies ahead is not yet home, and no one knows what humanity will become here.
Still, they go.
First Light opens Second Dawn with the moment an inherited past becomes an unwritten future.
