Meaning: A direct address to a partner — naming the AuDHD traits that cause friction, apologising without self-erasing, asking to be carried with, not carried for.
Technical: Dark cinematic alternative rock/art-rock with intimate acoustic elements, 108–110 BPM, steady forward momentum. Verses feel almost spoken at times, sparse guitar or piano and subtle atmospheric texture, gradually building instrumentation through each section. Choruses open wider with drums, bass and distorted guitar, but stay human and bittersweet rather than triumphant. The "Thirteen" bridge strips back dramatically, painfully exposed, before building into the biggest section of the song.
Read: The most emotionally exposed and specific of the earlier songs. "There's a lot of I's in that message — what about me?" and the age-thirteen admission in the bridge ("What do you want to be when you're older?" "Dead.") are among the strongest single moments in the whole catalogue — not metaphor, just the truth stated plainly.
