My Stroke, My Return, and the Message of Synchronicity
On September 6, my life changed forever.
I suffered a stroke.
At that time, my heart was only working at 10 percent. I had blood clots, and I was taken to Akron, Ohio, where I began a long journey through the hospital and rehabilitation. I wore a LifeVest to protect my heart, not knowing what my future would look like.
When I came back from the hospital in September, I had lost so much.
I had lost 80 percent of my speech.
I could not remember my name, my year, my family, or even myself.
My knowledge was still inside me—but I could not reach it.
My thoughts were there—but I could not organize them.
My spirit was awake—but my brain was injured.
I had to relearn how to understand again.
Day by day, step by step, therapy by therapy, I kept going. I worked through rehabilitation, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Even when words didn’t come out right, I kept trying. Even when my mind felt tired, I kept slowing up.
Now it is January.
And my wife shared these words that still bring tears to my eyes:
“Good news! Because of Justice’s significant heart improvement, he no longer needs to wear the LifeVest. He has been cleared by neurology, successfully completed occupational therapy, and is excelling with his speech as he works hard every day. We are incredibly grateful for all the prayers, love, and support — please keep them coming as he continues healing. ❤️
No more LifeVest!! 😌”
Those words are proof.
Proof that healing is real.
Proof that prayer works.
Proof that the mind and heart can rebuild.
What makes this even deeper is something I spoke six years ago—long before the stroke.
I talked about a rock in the Unity Garden.
I spoke about building, not breaking.
I spoke about Synchronicity—how messages come to us when we are ready to hear them.
Now I understand.
This was a message.
Not punishment.
Not the end.
But alignment.
I took that message and turned it into sound.
I created audio with instruments from Silent Stepchild, letting vibration help heal what words sometimes can’t. I uploaded it to Audius, not for fame—but for healing.
Because sound carries knowledge.
Music carries memory.
