Spanning 6 unique tracks and 2 remixes (one of which is from heart pieces himself), the album is an impressive dive into the sonic realm of experimental bass-influenced club music.
With nothing held back, Darren (the mastermind behind this project), explores outside of his comfort zone while still retaining the elements that made his Forekast project so loved to begin with.
Each song on the album takes a unique approach to production and arrangement, with almost no section in any song repeating more than once.
As a result, this EP makes for a very satisfying and interesting listening experience regardless of how well-versed the listener is in terms of electronic music.
Stepping away from club-focused tracks, and leaning further into experimentation and fulfilling what HE enjoys in music, heart pieces' debut EP is certainly a promising introduction towards what this producer is capable of down the road.
